NOGI JIU-JITSU

No-gi Jiu-Jitsu is a form of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) that focuses on techniques that can be used without the traditional gi uniform. The training typically involves warm-up exercises, learning and practicing various techniques, and live sparring sessions.

It emphasizes practical techniques for sport and self-defense situations, relying on body positioning, speed, and agility to gain an advantage over an opponent. It is also a great workout for developing strength, flexibility, and mental toughness.

This class focuses on MMA-specific striking on the feet, blending punches, kicks, knees, and elbows with takedown setups and defense. Athletes learn how to strike effectively while managing distance, timing, and level changes.

Training includes situational drilling to connect stand-up exchanges directly into takedowns and ground transitions, preparing students for real MMA scenarios.

MMA STRIKING

MMA Conditioning develops explosive strength, endurance, and conditioning tailored to the demands of mixed martial arts. Workouts combine power, speed, and high-intensity intervals to build fight-ready fitness.

This class is designed to improve performance under fatigue, helping athletes stay strong, fast, and efficient throughout every round.

MMA CONDITIONING

Waco Boxing Academy offers structured boxing training for both recreational athletes and competitive fighters, with a strong focus on technique, footwork, defense, and conditioning. Recreational Boxing is an add-on class designed for skill development and fitness without competition requirements, while the Boxing Team program prepares athletes for sanctioned tournaments through advanced training, sparring, and competition prep (coaches approval required.) WBA is proudly USA Boxing-certified, training athletes under nationally recognized standards.
